How to get there?

It is very easy to reach Liege by air, train and car (don't forget that there are 2 main languages in Belgium: French and Dutch (also German for a small part).
Cities can have different names in different languages: Anvers = Antwerpen, Bruxelles = Brussel (Brussels), Charleroi = Charleroi, Gand = Gent, Louvain = Leuven, Liège = Luik (Luttich in German), Mons = Bergen, Namur = Namen.

The easiest way to reach Liege by train is to arrive at the Liege-Guillemins station.
Liege-Guillemins station is well connected to many Belgian, Dutch, German, French and even British cities.
The Belgian rail company (SNCB/NMBS) provides both national and international travel information (timetables, route planner, fees, ticket booking, etc.) at this page.

Liege has three different stations (Guillemins, Jonfosse and Palais).
From Liege-Guillemins station, you can continue by taking another train (same ticket) to Liege-Palais or take a bus to reach the conference venue (Galerie Opéra, Place de la République française 41, 4000 Liège) in the city center.

For IDC 2017 attendees coming from further away, several airports are located near Liege. Connections, flight frequency and fares will vary according to your departure city.

Brussel South Charleroi airport many low-cost options

Brussel South Charleroi airport is not located in Bruxelles but in Charleroi (a city 40 km far from Bruxelles).
